The home team (devils) were beating the away team (rangers) very badly. Rangers fans started to leave early. The scoreboard guy put up train times back to NY well before the game was over.
" Your team sucks, and we know you gave up and want to go home, so here's the train times"
Pretty normal. In German football stadiums they also announce train departures and delays at the end of the match.
You mean like those wide brimmed mountain boys summoned some devils from hell and they showed them the train times to New York?

I get they won 6-1, but what's the relation to the train?

It’s just someone’s attempt to turn a common post-game courtesy into trash talk.
Just some banter saying your team is done here (maybe a tournament), pack up and go home.
Seems kinda considerate really.
