I've met like three Iowans, all blue collar tradesmen, and one of them has literally biked from one side of the state to the other. From my very small sampling, I can confidently say that 1/3 of Iowans are avid bikers.

There is a motorcycle museum in Iowa that I am 99.999999% had bicycles in it because that’s part of the culture.

Edit- but seriously why do they hate bike lanes? I thought even motorists appreciate them because it gets bikes off the main lanes and out of traffic? Or like, does he want bikes gone all together? I'm so confused.
