Did ancient Greeks wear pants? Maybe he ripped them off a barbarian? Euripides actually mentions pants and mocks them.

From what I understand, the Eu is pronounced like Ef.
I used to work with a guy named Eutychios. He went by George.
He just gave up.
I read it again and again and I dont get it...
With an accent it would be: u rip dis? (Did you rip this?) then the reply would be: u mend dis? (Do you mend this?)
You rip these?
Yeah, you mend these?
Thanks I really didnt knew how to pronounce this stroks of letters inside my head 😅
In ancient Greek, the ending -es is pronounced eez, eg Heracles is hair-ah-cleez. So, ironically, it comes out like they have Italian accents. "You rip-a deez?" and "you men'-a deez?"
Some Car Talk staff members over here.
When I'm making examples for forms, I use their staff credit names. Marge Innovera gets used pretty frequently.
I heard Woody Allen do this in the 60's. Nice revival of a good line.
The Young Ones did this one way better.
Car talk too. (Among many others)
Frasier being one of the others.

Watch the whole sequence (from 06:15 to 07:30). Ignore the insanely inaccurate subtitles.
I love this show!
2 seconds of funny text vs 1 minute of loud high pitched hard to understand talking over a canned laugh track. Agree to disagree :)
Eumenides nuts!
