I am becoming more and more pessimistic about DAD. What do you think?

The goal is to make the company more focused and agile, allowing devs to iterate quickly and form a clear vision for its upcoming projects

I'm sure laying off employees will help with this, and it has nothing to do with the union that just got voted to form.

Mary Kirby: Writer behind Loghain, Sten, Varric, and Vivienne, plus all of Hard in Hightown. Just fired.
Lukas Kristjanson: Writer behind Aveline and the Arishok, plus the quests "Paragon of her Kind" and "In your Heart Shall Burn", plus the story "Genitivi Dies at the End" in Tevinter Nights. Also fired.

I want to be excited about DA:D, but...

It depends. Many games were in development hell and not always the outcome was bad. I liked Inquisition for the story, characters and, most importantly, lore. If they somehow manage to recapture that fantasy again that would be great.
