So now we’ve moved to remaking mediocre movies instead of just classics.

This is actually the right movie to remake.
There are a lot movies with good ideas, that were executed poorly. Movies like this, that were bad adaptations. I think these are the ones that deserve another attempt.

I'd love for an actual adaptation of the Jumper books. The movie we got was at best "Inspired By" the book, and completely ruined because of it. But a good Jumper movie is possible.

Agreed! I decided to read the entire Lorien Legacies book series and while they are definitely YA fiction (and not the best written books) the story is solid and could have been done better on film.
