“7 cannibals to be renamed to 6 cannibals after recent tragedy. When asked for comment the cannibals declined only stating that a per his wishes it will be a closed casket”

I understand that. And I appreciate you coming back to meet me as an adult.

What I would disagree with in this rebuttal is I wasnt making a claim. I was asking a question. Again I understand the world we live in . “Just asking questions” is a common way for people to make claims without proof.

I was annoyingly careful to show I was looking for that information. I should have explained I was looking for it in case I get asked and had to argue about it.

So I’m still very disappointed people took it as an attack when i was awkwardly tripping over myself to explain that wasn’t my intent.

I’m very upset in a way I don’t normally get online. I feel really let down by our side today.

We aren’t going to get back on the right track without acknowledging ignorance is sometimes just ignorance. I was seeking information from a story I couldn’t remember at the time. I was asking for help. I was met with anger.

I feel this is why things have become so toxic. Obviously it’s the republicans fault it turned toxic but if we plan to turn it back we have to put in the effort. Even if I was trying to trash Muslims (i honestly wasn’t) someone has to educate me. It’s no one’s obligation but it needs to be someone’s job. It sure isn’t going to be the republicans.

So I’m very disappointed in how this played out, not because of my ego but because of what it means for our cause. We have to talk to people or it won’t get better.

But what do I know. I’m not anyone special. But I’m trying. We need to try. All of us.

“Over the past decade scores of charter schools have popped up all over the U.S., all sharing some common features. Most of them are high-achieving academically, they stress math and science, and one more thing: they're founded and largely run by immigrants from Turkey who are carrying out the teachings of a Turkish Islamic cleric: Fethullah Gulen.“

I stressed it wasn’t a problem with it being Muslim. I just remembered a controversial thing that happened. They pushed a very pro turkey teaching and took children to turkey.

That was the issue I heard about. Jesus Christ yall. I was very clear I didn’t even remember if they actually did anything wrong I just asked for the information again.

Don’t eat your own. Sometimes you have to believe people when they are annoyingly clear they aren’t making an attack just asking a question.

I tend to agree it seems like the charter system just sucks

Wow I didn’t mean to come off as disingenuous.

It was a company that operated multiple schools.

If I had the source I wouldn’t be asking the question.

I know the phrase “just asking questions “ gets thrown around a lot but I’m literally just asking because I can’t remember the details and could absolutely be wrong.

Lastly it has nothing to do with the topic at hand. For the record I’m against the voucher program and for public schools specifically because education and religious education should probably be entirely separate.

Edit: you know what I take back my apology. I could not have been more clear that I was asking people for that story I heard a while back. Like I get we are all sensitive right now but it pretty obvious I wasn’t attacking anyone in any way.

You were all to lazy to look it up, like I was, so you hit downvote instead. I’m not sorry for my question. I phrased it perfectly. Including it was a single company with multiple schools.

I’m also a democrat. It’s tough times but we can’t eat our own. Answer questions or don’t. You aren’t helping anyone by assuming everyone has bad intentions.

The problem with being greedy is people will eventually fight back. No matter how powerful you are. When people have nothing left to lose they’ll come for you, and they have greater numbers.

Even if you could kill all those coming for you… you won’t have any slaves left and you lose that way. You can’t win this game long term.

How are rich people so stupid?

Florida and Texas. Yes he still wears his winter wear.

I’d also like to point out characters at Disney. If you think Santa is hot think about Chewbacca lol. I’m assuming Santa’s would work the same if they were outdoors. Lots of breaks to cool down.

But those were before dna tests so it was pretty flawed. So I’d say the answer is “kinda ya”. If they didn’t believe you then you were Jewish.

I’m always saying this. His stories are fantastic! His writing not so much. Reading lovecraft is a task. A test of patience.

He is my favorite author but it’s like in Charles Dexter ward he says something like “like a year adding time defying mirror” just say the painting looked like the dude. Wtf lovecraft

I’m asexual IRL and can confirm arcane knowledge is irresistible. You can often find me reading dusty old tomes from the past. The dustier the better.

I think if he would’ve been like “I’ve rally changed my mind. I can’t do this.” Neo and Morpheus I feel would’ve tried to help him re-enter the matrix.

The whole thing was about “give them a choice” and I think everyone would have at least understood how he fealt and would’ve tried to get him back into the matrix at his request.

I feel like he didn’t even try talking about it before he went to the agents.

I know it’s meaningless just wondering what other people thought.

How does the smell affect your life, how do you deal with it, do you have any stories.

Im a trivia nerd and sometimes facts connect in an "oh no" kind of way.

Today the fact of "smell is the strongest scent tied to memory and emotions" hit the fact "pigs are very close in alot of ways to human tissue"

That leads to the "oh no"

Its got to be difficult entering after a terrible fire and smelling food, possibly even remember you nyanas famous pulled pork.

Sorry to be gruesome but that's what I'm asking about.

How do you put that aside? Do you get sick when Nana makes what used to be your childhood favorite?

I couldn't deal with that, the thought alone shook me. How do firefighters deal with that? Do family members change meal plans if you had a bad situation that day? Do some firefighters become vegetarians? Is it something you kinda just get over after a couple times?

I'm sure some political talk will be unavoidable but I'd like to keep this dry and to the point if we could.

I don't want an AI girlfriend, I just want to think out loud to another person. It helps me think and solve problems on my own. I feel like AI should be perfect for that. However the couple I've seen advertised and tried out... Well they essentially are only programmed to be like:

"Let's change the subject. Maybe this picture will help" blured picture behind a $50 subscription pay wall

And I'm like "no... If I wanted to change the subject I wouldn't be talking about this subject. I'm not at all interested in $50 AI tits."

I have a very low bar of expectations. Even if the AI just responds "wow, that's crazy" to everything that would probably be fine for my needs. More would be better but I do not need lewd pictures and I'm not paying $50 a month lol.

I know the obvious of being polite and respectful. do I show up early like an airport? Do I just show the guard my ticket? Anything I should know or be aware of?
