Today is June 1st, the start of Pride Month. This scene from "Blood Oath" weighs heavily on my mind.
There's also Groovy. A data execution pipeline program I use called NextFlow uses Groovy based scripts.
And compiling for different architectures can be very difficult. I've done a lot of work Power9 computers and it's not as simple as having the right compiler flags. Often the dependencies aren't built for your platform either so you have to go and compile those too. It can be quite a hassle.
You were happier with the pre-TOS Discovery Klingons?
My mom used to misplace her keys all the time, so she bought this device that makes a sound when you whistle, and then you can find your keys. The main problem with it was that it would also activate when she laughed, like a depressed person who only wanted to fit in and would laugh along with you. But hearing this thing make a sound when you were laughing just took you out of the moment. Very annoying and the device didn't last long in the household. I suppose nowadays you could get an airtag or similar for your keys.

I have a reading book and a listening book on the go. Still working on Stormlight Archive book 5: Wind and Truth. The good guys just experienced another major setback, and the setbacks keep piling up. Makes it a bit hard to want to carry on even though you know most things will turn out in the end.
I'm also listening to Brandon Sanderson's The Reckoners series. I'm on book 3 and been just loving the premise of "What if there are superheroes, but they're all evil? What do the regular people do?".
