That's just stupid. Newsome is a very good player who's a 1st round pick in his third season. The Browns as of this time have no reason not to be picking up his option in the offseason, thus having him around for at least 2 more years after this season.

Broncos winning streak is a little overrated.

Anybody saying yes right now is being stupid. It's too early to determine how good or bad it will be when he has 3 more years on his contract. If this was some career effecting injury then that would be one thing, but it's season ending.

Anybody saying it's the worst now when all it would take is to get hot one of the next 3 years to go on a playoff run and win a Super Bowl to make it 100% more than worth it is just not paying attention to what's going on.

Being not worth it right now and it being over aren't the same.

A lot of negative Burrow stats get completely ignored unless someone actually looks them up and posts them.

You'd never know that Burrow threw 2 INTs in the 4th quarter yesterday with how much people are trying to blame Boyd's 1 drop for the entire game lol.

I mean, all you have to do is look at the double-standards. People are shitting on Lamar for throwing one batted INT in the 4th quarter against arguably the best defense in the league, but Burrow is getting a free pass for throwing two against a very average defense.

Points can be deceiving though. For example, the Ravens had 31 points against the Browns Sunday.

However, that doesn't properly describe the Browns defensive performance.

The Ravens only scored 17 points on actual offensive drives. 7 of those points came on a pick 6, and another TD came on a muffed punt that gave the ball to the Ravens all the way on the 11 yard line. Which, on a side note, shouldn't have even scored in the first place since the refs took a Lamar INT in the endzone off the board with a completely bs holding call on a 3rd down play.

Scoring matters in each game, but yardage can be a very good indicator of games going forward.

When I talk about the Bengals being the most overhyped team in the league, this is the exact type of thing that exemplifies it.

I mean, people were talking before this week about how Burrow should be in the MVP conversation. The Bengals were and are last in their division and the dude wasn't even in the top half of the league in most passing categories lol.

Now you look at this: Oh the Bengals had it won. Where is the hate on Burrow for throwing two bad picks in the 4th quarter?

[–] Altruistic-Zone1664@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

In that same vein, it was also a bad Stroud INT from not even getting the chance. Burrow was pretty damn bad in the 4th quarter and it's silly to try to pin the blame on Boyd for one dropped pass considering Burrow threw two bad picks in the 4th quarter.

It just really tells you the difference in narratives around certain players in the league that Burrow isn't getting roasted for his 4th quarter performance. Whereas you sit here and see Lamar for instance have his performance with one batted INT destroyed against a much better team lol.

Here is the classic "Steelers fan overestimating their own team" comment that was missing. There were too many people above being honest about the luck thus far.

The Steelers have been outgained in every single game this year. It took 2 defensive TDs for example to win by just two points at home against the Browns...and you think the only hard game left for this Steelers team is the Ravens.

What an insightful Twitter post....it's difficult to win games in the NFL when you don't have a franchise QB and you win a lot more when you do. Quite the revelation I've learned today /s

The Steelers have been fraudulent as hell thus far and are -30 in point differential this year. For example, the prime example is the win they have over the Browns. It took two fluke bounces to end up in the right spots on separate plays for them to score two defensive TDs in the same game to win by just 2 points at home.

When you consider that they barely moved the ball on offense the entire night, the likelihood of them winning that game even if all of the plays were called the exact same way would have been extremely unlikely.

Well, the Chiefs are 7-2 while the rest of the division is trash.

Remember when all of the delusional national media were saying that the NFC West was going to be easily the best division in football, all 4 teams would likely make the playoffs, and so many were even picking the Chiefs to be the one to be the odd team out lol.

[–] Altruistic-Zone1664@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Well, that depends on if the Dolphins are as fraudulent as they seem thus far. They have beat up on teams with bad records but lost to every team they have played thus far with a positive record.
