I just discovered this photographer who's in my area and is much better than me, so you will be sure that I'm gonna study her work for the next 3 months. She's much better than me but gap isn't that big, at least in my POV, I can bridge it in 2 years.

Get a crop sensor camera and a long lens. Buy everything used from KEH, Adorama, B&H, or if you know what you're doing: eBay.
You actually make a good point, i would love to try out shooting with wide aspect ratios
lowkey, I'm fine with this cuz like who needs this function?
The kinda of photos I want to take requires me to talk to ppl and I like that
I have a terrible habit of switching lenses in the wind, i need to clean seasonally
Sometimes I just don't understand why ppl give deadlines they can't make. I literally tell ppl they won't see anything in 2 weeks, cuz I know I won't even open those pictures in 10 days.
Are they really that bad at planning or are they just hoping a miracle happens between their schedule?
Anyway, sry for the rant, your situation is not acceptable, I would start to be very mean to this photographer, cuz that won't cut it in the professional world in any industry.
It pissy me off that ppl are taking better pictures than me, whenever I see a picture better than mine, I'm already thinking about how they did it and how I can make a better picture
JK I don't get mad, but I do feel the competitive drive
Rent your own elephant and bring it back to the studio where the big big Lights are
