Depends on the playing field.
If you have a lot of established competitors, they GROK the playing field.
So what's your business strategy?
Depends on the playing field.
If you have a lot of established competitors, they GROK the playing field.
So what's your business strategy?
It can help a lot to change the way that you look at your challenges.
Maybe begin by thinking of your business as your "babyStartup."
And then examine babyStartup's health and growth. Most of your business related challenges can be solved and there are many professionals that can help you solve them.
The fact that you have a proven track record means that you are thinking more about getting out of a situation that has slowly worn you down and is affecting your overall health. You're about to "flee" this situation.
That's not an unusual situation when one person starts a small business and it grows to a size where insisting on doing everything yourself no longer works.
The solution here is to start working on the business instead of in it.
And that means adding people to your team to take care of the routine operational parts. Delegating tasks is not complicated.
Maybe reflect on these questions:
These are not easy questions to answer. Having built a "viable and sustainable" business is a big achievement. Not many startups reach this point.
So priority #1 is your health. And if you decide to flee and regroup, don't look at this as a failure but rather keep in mind that next time, you will want to think about managing the business.
You know how to talk to your target audience so that skill will remain and be invaluable in your next startup.
And what is it exactly that you mean when you say:
"My partner is very supportive of my journey so financially I don’t have much commitments."
Do you mean that you are free to focus all your attention to the business and not be concerned about your basic needs?
"
Think of the LLC as a person.
Your formal business relationship is with the LLC. LLC closed down means good bye 5K. Proving intend to defraud is something you may want to discuss with a legal professional.
You stated that your friend has no business plan or strategy. So if you were to evaluate today what your friend brings to the LLC, what would you say?
As mentioned by others, 5k is more of a learning experience than an amount that is worth recovering unless there are intangibles that make it personally worthwhile for you.
Can you maybe expand on what he means by "if you quit the investment is lost"
You'll have to be more specific.
There are many ways to attract, connect, and engage with your target audience.
When you say "that nobody is actively looking or searching for?" , do you mean that nobody has ever thought about buying what it is that you want to sell and you don't even know who would be interested to buy it?
Or are you assuming that their is a group of people that you know would be eager to buy if only they understood the benefits and you want to reach out and touch them?
You become an entrepreneur when you actively work on translating your "Vision" into a viable and sustainable business.
Since you have yet to find that "Vision," maybe you could share the top three activities that soak up your time.
Are you equating "creativity" with "technical?
The "gray" market involves distributors leapfrogging the rules of their supply chain which can result in the loss of their distribution rights.
And they buyer may have to deal with a "murky" warranty situation.
Maybe because most people on an entrepreneurial journey are dealing with the challenges of filling gaps and overcoming challenges building their business.
The can't always see what you see and don't necessarily get your insights.
And as they keep mentioning, an idea is practically worthless (unless you have idea for a flashlight that can convert lead to gold and you've already validated the science).
On the other hand, if you've invested time to translate your idea into a business model with key challenges identified and investigated, you're on your way on your entrepreneurial challenge.
With the general concept shared as a business model, people will be able to help fill in the gaps and overcome that many obstacles as you start building your startup.
Your primary goal at this point is to reach the "viable and sustainable" business milestone. And if you startup looks like a baby Unicorn then you've struck gold.
Yes, it's a lonely and challenging journey taking the "road less traveled." You carry the flame and the journey continues...
Whatever the outcome, you are now an entrepreneur.
What is the "desired destination" for this entrepreneurial journey?
No "mountain peak" to climb?
You're not challenged are basically bored. Either set some aggressive "I can do this goals" that stretch your talents or start another business.
Start building and growing your business. It appears that you're not content sitting under the apple tree for the fruit to fall. So what can YOU do to shake things up?
You feel being under attack which triggers many different negative emotions.
Maybe read "Never Split the Difference" and learn how to have difficult conversations with just about anyone - without triggering anybody's emotions.
What's interesting about family is that you'll usually find all the "personality types" represented by one or more siblings or relatives. And the "black sheep" may be tarred and feathered.
Google "analytical driver expressive amiable" and dig a litter deeper on the better sites. To better connect, engage, and build trust with the other personality types,it helps to tone down the criteria that conflict and turn up the volume on the criteria that align.
If you take the time reflect on the many unpleasant conversations you've had with family members, what are the actual reasons for shaming (pressured into complying) you?
Can you share their EXACT words. We all interpret words our way. Sometimes meaning and intent get lost in the heated exchanges.
Do you know what is the "desired outcome/goal?" Compliance with some family norm or standard? Cutting you off from some shared family assets? Something else?
When people put that much energy in an activity, there has to be a purpose.
Step 1 is to make sure that YOU and them are on the same page understanding what's going on.
And what has the family ambassador have to say?
You have a sense of empathy with your target audience.
So tell us what it is that you feel!
