It's not a option for everyone. I actually changed jobs when my last job started to nickel and dime customers, because it didn't feel right.

Where my buddy stayed because he can't uproot his life and his family. He's pretty numb to the work though.

If you're serious, study cyber security to start.

Then move towards devops.

Worse case scenario, you'll end up in a 6-figure job making complaints into the void as you write bash scripts to speed up a pipeline by 0.1 second.

Best case scenario, you take down a massive criminal ring that sprouts back up like a weed a few days later.

"Corporate wants you to find the difference between Taylor Swift's Insta Posts and MrBeast's tweets.

They're the same picture."

You're all dogs barking in the mirror.

I felt like I skipped this. People my age went to pagers, then sidekick phones, then touch screens.

I went from beeper, to flip phone, then palm pilot.

I must have had serious Wallstreet Stock Broker energy as a teenager.

I always have both an appreciation and judge people who do things like this.

I appreciate it because it's neat that people are willing to go the distance for the fun of it. People who limit themselves to specific tech or libraries. People who code for old tech like those who make brand new "retro" games, or code for Pico-8.

Then the judgement comes in. Just... Jackie chan why.

I still appreciate the dedication!

My theory continues to stand:

If you want to legally threaten, kill and harm people because that's your fetish, be a police officer.

The Mac was the original version.

This release is following the NES UI and graphics!

I never played that one! Would you recommend it?

I recently played the 2014 version and thought it was fantastic! Apparently it was released with bugs during launch, which gave it a lot of bad reviews.

At the end of the game, it prompted the Kickstarter, which how I learned about it!

Diablo Immortal made a depressing amount of money.

Us sweats mean nothing when there's a billion dollars on the table for them.

And this isn't even a edgecase. Even Bethesda/Nintendo saw their mobile games print money more than their regular games. Fortunately they have souls and think about their core audience.

Tbh I'll be surprised it this gets any upvotes.

But I grew up with this series on the ol' 8-bit Nintendo. And if you search for it online, there's NO news story about this. I found it because I have a calendar reminder to visit their Kickstarter every few weeks.

The game looks great!

Hopefully this gets them some Lemmy attention and gets them some marketing.

The original design of the never-before seen point and click adventure is being brought to life after 30+ years in the vault – Beyond Shadowgate! The game is being created by the designers of the original 8-bit hit Shadowgate and a leading 8-bit adventure studio! With a story that is over four times larger than Shadowgate, Beyond Shadowgate captures the same look and feel as the 8-bit console version while including modern design sensibilities. Get ready for the ultimate Shadowgate sequel!

Tune in on October 19.

As the narrator for Disco Elysium: The Final Cut, Lenval Brown recorded 350,000 words of dialogue. His warm, crackling tone is one you'll associate with Disco Elysium forever after playing it, though he's also popped up elsewhere—like in retro shooter Ultrakill, city builder Republic of Pirates, and as the host of our own documentary series, Tales from the Hard Drive.

To register for Voice of the Narrator: A Disco Elysium livestream, you'll need to donate to a gofundme to help Dr. Alaa Abu Musa and his family evacuate the Gaza Strip. (Suggested donations are $US60.) Then fill out the registration form linked at the Workshops 4 Gaza event page. The livestream will take place on October 19, from 3–5pm EST.

The customer became “agitated and verbally abusive” toward employees at a Waffle House in Laurinburg, North Carolina, on Friday night, according to a police statement posted on Facebook.

After the customer was given his food, he started walking toward his car, before turning around and firing two shots, police said.

Context: they got real upset after the Trump shooting.

Now they're fully masks off.
