There probably aren't 5 players who's actual value is more undervalued by casual NBA fans when it comes to trades/talent compared to real life than Towns right now. NBA fans think he is absolute trash when he's really good. It's like because he isn't the MVP or had some terrible performances, he has suddenly turned into complete garbage, he's not even on people's minds anymore as a good player, people just think he's really bad but can have a good game now and then and maybe can be rehabilitated. They see him like James Harden or Ben Simmons.

I think that what this does for Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels as young cornerstones, this is worth it. This puts them in contendership at an early age. If they are around in 5-8 years and still trying to compete to titles on this team, they will be extremely experienced and hardened.

It's super cool the NBA can give fans moments like this. Just something not every pro sport can offer, this is like a perfect sports moment for these guys they will always remember and cool of KAT to do.

IMAGINE.

Being in the finals, being the number 2 seed, taking on the champs who are missing two starters, and still being unable to get a must win W on your home floor. The salt levels have to be through the roof for the Liberty. That's the type of loss that will stay with you forever.
