Kudos to the Bills for taking it to OT against a team that had 17 players on the field for most of the game.

If you would instantly trade Player B for Player A, then wouldn’t you say that would make Player A more valuable?

Forgetting salary cap for a minute, if the Browns could trade Myles Garrett for Patrick Mahomes straight up, right now, do you think they would hesitate for literally even a second?

Josh Dobbs going to be the first NFL player to win Comeback Player of the Year and Walter Payton Man of the Year in the same season

If he could have stayed healthy, I fully believe that Sean Lee was headed for the hall of fame one day.

Popular opinion: The Helmet Catch is one of the most spectacular moments in the history of sports. Giants shouldn’t have made the playoffs, shouldn’t have won any playoff games, shouldn’t have made it to the Super Bowl. Game shouldn’t have been close enough for the play to matter. Eli shouldn’t have been able to escape the sack. Tyree shouldn’t have been able to catch it. None of what happened should have happened.

Unpopular opinion: The catch itself was impressive, but not nearly as impressive as people make it out to be. Certainly not the most impressive catch in NFL history like many claim. If it happened in an early window game in the middle of the season, it might have been #3 or #4 on Redzone’s plays of the day and forgotten a few weeks later. I know, because Rondale Moore had a comparable helmet catch a few years ago and literally the only reason I remember it is because I happen to be a Cardinals fan.

When evaluating someone for inclusion in Canton, the very first question should be “How good were they in comparison to their peers?” If the answer is not anything but “One of the very best”, talking about putting them in the Hall of Fame is silly.

With Eli in particular, if one single play goes differently than anyone suggesting he be inducted would be laughed out of the room. He takes a sack during the Helmet Catch, and his career is viewed maybe a half-step above Joe Flacco’s.
