The average number of goaltending violations this year is 0.31 per game. Last season was 0.25 and all 10 previous seasons have the avarage of 0.23. So yes, it migh be somewhat higher, but we're only about 10 games into the season, so many statistics might be skewed.
This season, Charlotte is leading the league in goaltending violations with 1.0 per game and Washingon and Houston have 0.0, but if you check the game logs, only CHA had 3 twice, Utah had 3 once and last night Indy had 4. So if you watched these games, yeah, it might seem odd, but overall, I'd say it's pretty normal.
Maxey. He's playing good recently and he even dropped 50, but him being in MVP talks is silly. He's super fast and usualy plays solid, but I'm never worried about him when my team is playing the sixers.
