Or the team just pays the tax for 1 year, restructures Goberts contract then can duck the tax in consecutive years. New ownership is not afraid to pay for quality players. They are wanting a new arena and will assuredly ask for public money. They are not about to cheap out now.

Way too small market, way too small airport. Part of the fact the NBA wants to go to Vegas is it is already a hub for the NBA. Between Summer League, Team USA, and the upcoming mid season tournament NBA already has a footprint in Vegas. Another thing is they already have an NBA arena in the MGM/TMobile arena and word around town is their is an ownership group willing to build a $10 billion arena and campus to bring an NBA team in. Same group that built the arena in Seattle to bring the NHL franchise their.

NBA/Nike needs to scrap the city edition jerseys. There is not enough creativity or man power to come up with good looking jerseys for 30 teams every single year. Not to mention the brand recognition lost when half the teams are wearing colors that don't match the franchises' primary colors. I struggle to imagine that the return on these in sales is worth what the designers and manufacturers are costing for these piece of shit jerseys.
