this is an extremely normal response to someone mildly criticizing an article you posted

yeah, basically just running xfce but replacing xfwm4 with i3
i was kinda surprised how well it worked tbh, i had been using i3 on it's own for like a year before i tried it

hexbear probably
does not require an email for sign-up, does not store ip addresses, and (most of the time) you get posts removed or banned for giving particularly doxxable info
though if you aren't a communist you won't have a good time unless you have a humiliation kink

you definitely don't want to pack an OS and WM in your dev environment
anyone who doesn't already use i3 will be slowed to a crawl until they memorize the keybinds, plus some people just really hate using the keyboard for 90% of navigating, and if they don't already use fedora will need to figure out where everything is

my usual responses when asked are:

  • Cheap one: 6 pack of beer and a pizza
  • Middle one: bottle of vodka and a take out
  • Expensive one: bottle of scotch and a bar of dark chocolate

booze and food are always welcome with me lol

things can be psychologically habit forming, like biting your nails or plucking body hair

In my experience older nvidia cards (~5 years old +) work fine, newer ones are very hit-or-miss
Amd cards of any age work pretty much perfectly as far as I can tell

Though if the drivers not being proprietary is a hard line for you then amd is your only option really

you can buy and install one yourself, or get a usb one for ~$20
