My XM4s died and I got yesterday a pair of airpods pro 2 and they sound amazing wtf in c/headphones@hi-fi.community

I was also pleasantly impressed with Bose QCII earbuds. Just tilt the treble and bass towards brightness by about 3db's and you'll get amazing detail and left-right imaging. Doesn't beat my Fh3 with EQ but it's really good for convenience with the best ANC on the market.

It's not the DAC or power that's the issue with the lean midbass, it's the fact that you bought planar magnetic headphones. It's common knowledge that they can't make the air pressure that the dynamic driver does in the midbass.
