I think the common denominator for all these things are people. People are pretty terrible in large numbers behind anonymity.
I love cars, but even I'm getting to a point where it's just "generic SUV", "generic hybrid crossover", "holy fuck BMWs are ugly now".
They've got a lot more resolve than I do. I'd have walked out long before this point, but had I been told that before going out on my run, I would have literally walked out there and then.
I've walked out of jobs for less.
Summer was hard on me in my teenage goth years.

Private companies are not concerned with your freedoms.
Not saying I agree with how things are, just saying how it is. Only way to tell a private company to fuck off is to not use them.
