This is, quite literally, previous century drug deal scheme.

I was born in Yugoslavia, before the balkan wars (and before Tito died) and when I was in ground school, Kinder-egg drug deals were already old news.

This article is, at least (!) 40 years too late.

The series actually started quite tranquil... and had moments of beautiful vivisection of human psychology... but then, suddenly, almost out of nowhere... I had to deal with detailed decapitation.

That's a hard no for me.

The more I think about it... the more I'm certain that Netflix will have some hard time surviving my subscription list through this week.

My son, only God can judge me. ;-)

So, before I begin, I need to make it clear that, despite ''Buy EU'' movement (am European) and my sincere (and ancient) aspiration to abandon US Tech, I remained Netflix subscriber (because I found myself a niche of series and movies (think Star Trek, Downton Abbey, Virgin River, Things that made us...) that I enjoy watching, so... this was my Achiles heel and I accepted that I might not be ''perfect in every way'' and just remained with the subscription.

However, there are things that are beginning to disturb me (in a very deep sense) about Netflix, that might really lead me to cancel my subscription:

Namely, I grew rather fond of ''Resident Alien'' and I do believe that series is great (at least the first season). However, somewhere down the middle (of second season), the series started to take the dark turn and actually thumbled down to gore-violence (when Harry/Alien basically decapitates the secret agent and throws her off the train). I mean, the series had already some ''icky'' moments, but this is just pure GORE.

I did not sign up for gore! I signed up for entertainment. And gore - is not entertainment. It is deeply disturbing violence. And standardizing that in the form of entertainment is - sick. Simply - sick.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a churchgoer or a religious fanatic or anything like that, but I am aware enough to consciously decide not to watch things that damage my mental health. And if Netflix decides to insert such things casually (and into viewer's heads), then Netflix is a sick network and not for me. Simple as that.

Furthermore, if Netflix producers think that gore is fun, then (as a person who has been through balkan wars, sleeping in a shelter...) they are welcome to spend some time in Gaza, Ukraine or Mexico. They can take their Gore-addicts with them, too.

I do understand that ''R.A.'' is SyFy/USA Network production, but Netflix productions are utter horror in that (violence) sense. Even worse.

So... I do intend to transfer my evening entertainments exclusively to DVD's.

How do you see Netflix in the above sense?

Not sure what you think you have described in your post, but that - is not journalism, much less traditional journalism.

So, to forward your dislike towards something that you have either not experienced, or seen, or have no understanding of - is pointless.

I mean, if you were born receltly, then you might have a picture that, what is being offered online (or even generally in the media) might be branded as journalism (which is not), however, the truth is that ''news'' today is (95%) nothing but a clickbait industry and has very little,if anything, to do with journalism.

The remaining 5% is actually - journalism, but that, just as any other thing for which someone else had put some education, effort and sacrifice in, has to be compensated.

Product advertising is something we have ad- block for. So far, in my life, I have never ever seen, heard or met a person that has convinced me that I need something they have.

Whoever does not realize that THIS IS FAR MORE DEVASTATING than any nuclear bomb or even SIGNED capitulation in a war - is nothing else but an utter fool.

So, privately proclaimed enforcers are being given classified information by the state institutions, so that they could exercise/execute swift justice to people proclaimed unwanted by the country.

2 problems here:

  1. This individual is HIGHLY educated person (and should be direly precious to the country)
  2. Nazi germany - 09.November.1938

Congratulations USA, you finally did it. You transitioned.

I thought in Poland they are called: ''Nalešniki''? So now I'm confused.

Actually, I KNOW in Poland these are called ''Nalešniki'' because I used to eat them in pancake restaurants called ''Nalešnikarne''... the most notable for me being ''Nalešnikarna Fanaberia'' in ''Svietojanska'' (St. John's) street in Gdinya.

Sorry if I didn't write ''Nalešniki'' 100% correcu, but... I use slavic phonetics, so...

That is actually for the whole Yugoslavian area. To pronounce this correctly in english, one would have to write it like this: ''Pallachincka'' (singular) or ''Pallachincke'' (plural)... and greetings to all ''Palačinke'' lovers (had to scroll quite a while to find the comment, but I knew there had to be one...good job). :D

THIS. This is not being communicated enough.

The issue is the new(er) generations think they have discovered something never seen before, all the while truth being - the only new thing is the way people are being manipulated into investing in trickster scheme.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have been there when internet was born. We have witnessed it and we have learned from our mistakes. It is not you who are smarter, it is us knowing not to buy tulips.

Does it not mean Portuguese-Brasilian (Portuguese)?

And it is a Google translate add-on... or am I wrong?
