Just like everyone else.

Hell, include the hype, and it looks stupid

Now they just have a huge boss...

Yes, I'm very sorry to have misspoke...they only own the livestock farms, distribution centers, the land the restaurants are on, and they have exclusive partnerships with the potato growers and ranchers. They DO outsource the pickles from another supplier (who only supply McDonalds), onions (at least the whole ones, couldn't confirm a source for the dehydrated), and other produce like tomatoes.

Especially in cases like McDonalds. They've owned their entire supply chain since at least the late 90s.

Dead eyes...like a doll's eyes.

Not if it's knocking doors, offering to drive folks to the polls (where that's still legal) or handing out water in under served districts with long lines (where that's still legal)

You have to bear them against the right people.

Your insurance company isn't just fucking you with premiums, they also expect the guys that come and fix things up after a disaster to lose money doing it, 0 overhead, 0 profit

I'm glad the storm spread out a little before making ground fall. I don't have the requisite knowledge to know whether he's making a credible claim about the mathematical limits of storm intensity, but if it is accurate, the fact that we can go from "tropical depression" to "literally the strongest storm the planet can sustain" in 24 hours is fucking wild.

Which is ironic...any company that would brag about employees working at their own wedding screams "burnt out employees and insider threats" to me.

Isn't route design/planning part of a public transportation system? And even if it weren't, it's still a real and valid issue that would need to be addressed. Even if the plan is just to force everyone into high-density housing against their will, you still have the last mile problem, just like cable and internet companies. Either the bus stops at every building (and is therefore too slow to be useful) or some people have to walk farther than others, which is fine for most of us, but disabled/elderly/injured people shouldn't be further disadvantaged as part of our transportation strategy.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post or not, but I got a 22 Audi plugin EV a few months ago, and it's coming due for inspection/maintenance. Should I trust a "normal" mechanic with it or pay more to take it to a dealership?

A sliver of good news and a reminder that talking to your elected officials CAN make a difference, even if they're generally horrible people. Mr. Pillen realized that hungry kids were actual people after talking to some and decided, "Nebraska needs to do better." No shit Governor, but thank you for not digging your heals in this time and being willing to take free money from the feds to feed hingey children.
