Take a full-suspension carbon mtb with electric shifting, hydraulic brakes, tubeless tyres etc and compare it to 1895 Singer safety bike. A lot has changed! But of course with more simple designs there aren't that many bits to develop, yet probably every part has changed to some extent since those times.

Yes, the police did a great job confiscating those 4 tonnes of cocaine!
Indeed, smart of them to hide 6 tonnes of cocaine in such a place!
Thank you for the clarification, I shall consider us Psychopaths (Proudly, Adored) from now on :D /j nah but honestly speaking like half of us are depressed and the other half is just about to be. Straightforward here doesn't mean saying what bothers you and we can be quite jealous people. Oh and shame is definitely our national feeling. I'd like to visit America one day and experience the vastness and see if people really are as confident and shamelessly proud as depicted!
Psychotic? Are you sure it's not the Swedes you are talking about? An understandle mistake, I know I couldn't make difference between Swedes and Norwegians!
Eye contact? Thst too sounds like swedish shenanigans to me! A friendly Finn is one who moves far enough to the side when you pass, you know, to give space. Space is the second thing we love the most right after sauna boats! You know, the personal kind!
Your friendly neighbour Finland here! We love them sauna boats! They are very much a thing here!
These particular bags in the pictures are Bikezacs made by Cobags - if someone wants to know. Nice bags for grocery shopping or short distance carrying and they can also be folded.
That's quite clever actually :D
Thank you so much for sharing! This is really relatable and interesting theory and provoked lots of thoughts, I read another article from the same author about grand emotions and it too was striking, super inspiring stuff and I feel more validated after reading these.
I actually began to doubt if the therapy I went to was "off" as the focus on emotional skills was on "non-autistic emotions" and that underlined the fact that I wasn't at all good with those, but there wasn't much recognition and support for emotions such as those mentioned in the grand emotions article.
Not just a winter tip but hub dynamo & dynamo lights if you cycle in dark, also full-length metal fenders for all the wet and muddy and snowy conditions. If it gets really cold consider using plastic or composite pedals instead of metal. Oh and there's some special grease made by Shimano that is supposed to prevent cables from freezing, but wet lube inside the housing works as well.
Having used quite a few different bike pumps I chose one which is made of metal, has a hose and pressure meter, it is basically a mini floor pump but the size of a hand pump (slightly longer but more narrow). Mine is Moon Aiolos Gauge MFP but eg Lezyne has similar models. Screw-on adapter can be problematic with presta valves because some models tend to screw the valve core out when you remove the adapter, but I've never had that problem with mine. Here's a review of the pump. Basically don't need a floor pump either when I have this.
