Pixelfed can support videos, but it has some restrictions which doesn't make it very accessible.

I feel like it's more of a client issue than a Lemmy issue. We could imagine having clients that correctly support crossposting by having tabs for each comment section.

By the way, "old" is simply based on mlmym.org, which you can use with other instances than lemmy.world, if wanted.

This is already possible (and is actively used, mainly for piracy related websites) with the current laws.

Even petitions from within France don't have any value. Our current government doesn't really care about this kind of action (or any type of action, actually).

France already does DNS blocking. It honestly has near to no impact, since targeted websites (usually digital piracy related stuff) just change the domain.

Probably KeepassDX, Syncthing and Mull. Newpipe is also a good one, especially since it also supports PeerTube.

Edit: Oh and I forgot about Jerboa.
