If he weren't so stupid I'd say he's probably shorting it. I'd be shorting it if I had an investment account that could do that sort of thing.
Why does anyone's hairstyle need to be regulated?
I've heard the exact opposite claim concerning a police strike in NYC. Crime went down during that strike, let's call it a mixed bag overall.
Now, granted, long term the police can't help but exist. They might be called enforces, thugs, the army, imperial guard, whatever, but there will always be people employed to enforce the will of the dominate power structure. You start to get real philosophical about what crime even is when you try and completely erase the police, but in day-to-day context, they do little to stop crime, their effect is much more institutional.
The ability to make predictions is not sufficient for evidence of consciousness. Practically anything that's alive can do that to one degree or another.
When cops go on strike, pretty much nothing interesting happens. Cops don't actually stop crime, they just show up after the fact and make arrests.
I'm the wrong person to ask. I wouldn't know if there's anything fancy you can do with emails that makes one host better than another. I use them for the privacy. I send emails, sometimes to multiple people, sometimes with attachments. That's as fancy as I get.
I use them for email. They're exactly like any regular email except with the potential for encryption.
About half right. The other half is that a developing nation basically has to start at low end manufacturing like textiles, then work their way into things like cheap toys, and slowly build their technical expertise and abilities along the way. While they're making cheap, low-quality products they develop a reputation for cheap, low-quality products, which biases people against anything made in that country. But, if everything goes right, they start to produce medium and then high quality products and shed their old reputation.
Korean products used to be the cheap junk, but now they're well-made. A lot of Chinese companies are starting to put out high quality stuff, and you can see that reflected in the pride they're starting to take in their products. I'm seeing more and more Chinese companies making no effort to hide the fact that they're Chinese, something that was quite rare even a decade ago.
Pretty much any crime done with a gun increases penalties here in the US.
I'm about 80% sure that they do take these things as an opportunity to practice, since they'd just be flying more scripted practice missions anyway if the balloon/cesna/UFO didn't come up.
