Anyone counting out Steph or Lebron is nuts.
Wait Dimes holds longer than Dak? WTF?
Sure and let's nickname Luka "Big Bird" because he's thiccer, white and plays nothing like Larry Bird.
Maybe Rodman? In 96/97 he made $9M for about 5 ppg. Now add in the context that the salary cap was $24 M, and I think it's a strong case. Yes, there were different rules about signing your own players, but still, gotta be up there.
You can't control who you play, and the Nuggets were undoubtedly the best team last year. However, I fear Jokic and team will suffer from lack of historic matchups. There's nobody they faced that should have beaten them, nor did they face any "super teams". Should it be considered an all time great performance? Maybe. Do I think it will be? Probably not.
Jeannie Buss, perhaps?
