The only occasion I focus manually is if I happen to be using my m42 manual focus lenses.
Good glass, fast speeds, predictability of situations, sometimes a tinge of flash, stabilized lenses and above all, a lot of experience.
That's pretty much it.

I wouldn't focus in one song, instead I focus im one genre that conveys the energy I want the models to have.

Always carry more than one SD card. I have one in the camera and a case full of them hidden somewhere in the camera bag.
Most definitely Portraits or studio photography in general, hands down. And it's quite awesome once you figure out where your the most comfortable with.
