I can’t speak for all boudoir photographers, but I’d kill for a serious inquiry from a guy instead of the bullshit “wanna see my junk” emails I get.

The old joke was: How do you get $1 Million with photography? Start with $2 Million.

Kidding aside, becoming a millionaire photographer happens rarely, if at all. But if you work hard to build a commercial business you can make a comfortable living depending on what your field is, as long as you realize that you’ll have some really busy months and some months where you’ll be wondering where the clients are. It’s hard slog, there’s no magic button to press, and most photography fields, if not all, are highly saturated. Find your niche, work hard, and be prepared to fall flat on your face a few times before you figure things out. Remember, it’s a business first and foremost. Treat it as such. Offer quality work that appeals to your target market, and learn marketing and how to operate a business. Manage your finances with the Profit First method, and take pride in your work.

Good luck, and listen to Seth Godin and other business educators, you’ll get more out of his works than Tate’s.
