I’m sorry, but… how does that relate to what I am saying?

I was talking about how we should hold these influencers accountable for doing shit like siccing fans on critics or publicly posting the location of a critic’s house on social media after doxxing said critic. Whether their content is real or not is an entirely different conversation - I’m talking about how these social media platforms should make this kind of behavior not okay and deplatform them for basically using their fanbase and/or fame to intimidate and threaten others.

I wish we could hold people who do stuff like this with their social media platform accountable and make it so whoever does this kind of stuff would get deplatformed immediately or something.

It’s gross that some people think it’s genuinely okay to practically sic their fans on people who just… don’t like what they do, or might disagree with something they said. The fact the TikTok person also said “love will always outshine being a hater, I hope I taught you that today” is a fucking disgusting and twisted line of thinking because he’s encouraging his fans to hate on the critic - where’s the “love” in that?

That was the name, thank you! Gonna look up Dan and Soren’s podcast again now so I can catch up lol. Also loved Cody’s video on deconstructing Jordan Peterson, that was the first I heard of him since he left Cracked.

DoB and Soren have a podcast they do together iirc, but I don’t remember what it was called. I think Swaim does stuff with IGN now and runs his own company?

Bear in mind, BG3 is more much like your typical cRPG while Disco Elysium is more akin to Planescape: Torment but without combat.

Both are extremely well-written, and I would say Disco Elysium is arguably one of the best written games period, but don’t go into DE expecting a whole lot of combat - it’s much more like a visual novel than a cRPG.

Honest-to-God question: is Elongated Muskrat intentionally screwing up Twitter so people can’t use it as a means to communicate? It sounds like a tinfoil hat conspiracy theory, but it’s the only logical thing I could think of at this point that explains this kind of stuff they’re pulling.

Any of the PS1-era Crash Bandicoot games.

My dad, my older brother, and I would spend hours playing those games with each other. Dad wasn’t the greatest gamer, but he was always patient enough to get my brother and I a ton of lives so we all could play without worrying too much :) Still got those discs in good condition too, just played them again with my dad a few months back for the first time in forever!

I really don’t think recasting is what’s holding Star Wars back - it’s the adherence to being strictly pre-Sequel Trilogy for anything new now.

Give us something new, either from the High Republic era and start building that up or something post-Sequels.

Idk if I like this. Wouldn’t having big famous Hollywood actors and actresses screw over the industry for a lot of people? Which sucks because just because they’re actors, it doesn’t mean they can voice act - Megan Fox did a character in the new Mortal Kombat and she gave the most wooden performance in recent memory; Keanu Reeves in Cyberpunk 2077 was kind of odd at times, but it was still okay.

I just don’t want these big names invading a space that’s already hard to compete in, and then taking all the jobs because of star power and not their actual talent.

If I did that, I would actually end up being homeless. The taxes are super low in my state, but the average house tax alone hovers around $2k-$4k due to how expensive housing is over here.

This sort of situation is what you actually want to avoid OP - being house-rich but cash-poor screws you over more often than not. Better to have one house you can rent.
