My LG G3 was my last LG phone. Not to mention how many phone models had boot looping issues because of crappy solder? And they took multiple years to switch to a better solder lol.

I also installed a custom ROM on mine to make it usable.

Literally none of my Chromecast work now.

They all require "activating" via a different app. Then they get stuck at "updating" on 0%, until they scream Network problem and tell me to factory reset. Even if I try a wired connection.

Multiple ultras and gen 2 Chromecast are just bricked thanks to Google.

Lmao 2 years?

My ex back in like.. 2015? Bought a Motorola phone. It PROMISED the next version of Android, aka, 1 singular update. It never got it.

Everyone was so pissed, Motorola made an announcement that it was going to stick to their word, and then over a year went by and I think they released a beta to a certain country, and then never actually fully released it.

So they didn't even give 1 year of updates that they promised on all of the marketing material. Good luck with 2.

I'd have to have an always listening Amazon device in my house to try, and that's ridiculous.

See ya when you need a video on how to fix something, a review releases, or you get sent a video from a friend.

Lmfao, no one is dropping YouTube. You'll be back one way or another.

It's hidden in the fact it's not presented upon first startup, it never mentions it, and it's at the very bottom of the settings page.

You have to discover it. And who knows how long you had it enabled before you find it.

Also, Firefox, lemmys beloved browser, sends telemetry by default. You have to dig through menus you didn't know existed to even find out, and then disable.

Not only to Mozilla, but third parties as well.

They only produce heat if you're using them. Otherwise they run pretty ambient.

It's wild that you wouldn't want a GPU, since it makes the machine like 50% more capable.

I'm not hunting for whatever comment you think I should be looking for, my guy.

Plenty of laptops have dedicated GPUs, and framework is actually releasing one with a dedicated GPU.

Why would you want a laptop that can do some CPU tasks but falls on its ass when doing GPU tasks? Seems ridiculous to buy a laptop capable of only doing half as many things. Integrated graphics are garbage.

What a weird take. You're acting like everyone is power using their phone on the surface of the sun only.
