Well I played beasts of maravilla island with my youngest (late teens) and can recommend. Very cute, nice dynamics and very easy to turn off and come back later.

Did also not know momcore was a thing tho....

Yeah my comment is meandering a bit. Maybe a more succinct way would be to say: this so called market is a private firm and it's in their own interest to not divulge the whole picture.

You're absolutely right about complex systems always leaking info through unintended sidechannels, but I would argue that is information not available to everyone on the "market" at the same time, thus skewing the market (and again benefitting the owners of the market more than anyone).

I'm not either. I read a few articles when I thought about buying a Tesla back when and the lamination on the outside of their windows seems to make the glass much more durable.

From what I gather most car manufacturers today do the same lamination trick.

Just a quick heads up, ninja rocks do not work with modern car windows.

Council President is of LN/LSP (Italian far right nationalists) in a country lead by FdI (Italian fascists.) Sad, but not surprising to see Authoritarian Countries supporting each other…

Well depends on the definition of public.. When Peter Thiel invests heavily in a platform like polymarket all it does is tell him if his political power is showing. Everything else is breadcrumbs we are allowed to see....

Much like with similar markets, robinhood comes to mind, I suspect this is of similar cloth (hugely profitable to the insiders, sometimes profitable to the outsiders and the public ""findings"" get massaged by their marketing department.

I mean the known messages listed in the article were

“Stephen Miller is destroying democracy,” “stop the kidnapping,” "we 🤍 immigrants,” “hate has no home in Arlington,” “no white nationalism,” “trans rights are human rights”

Also:

She [Millers Wife] subsequently posted a photo of “DEI enriches us all” written in chalk on a sidewalk, labeling it “the rallying cry of the losers of the Left.”

This sounds so much like Satire. Coming from a real person this sounds so delusional, it makes my schizophrenic ex more coherent during one of their episodes.

Also the house flipping angle (we want a Meeeellion Dollars more than what we paid for two years ago) makes this story even more absurd.

Dunno sounds more like psychopath behaviour …

plus it's their CEO, or their community manager in their name, directly addressing the questioner and going "you don't understand, under our big tent approach only 5% of people we give money to are controversial, let's not address your concerns and move on."

[–] SL3wvmnas@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 1 month ago

While I agree in principle, the response from the CEO, was: only like 5% of people we give money to are ~~racist Nazi bigots~~ "controversial", let's agree to disagree and move on.

Which is massive narcissitic, non-empathic behaviour. It's giving me less "you don't matter because soon you'll be dead"-vibes and more "I am literally unable to understand your concerns and empathise with you"-vibe, which to me personally is much more damning.

...and considerably longer to develop certain aspects of a field. I've seen Professors whose work came to fruition 20, 30 years later. It wasn't the person themselves, but the team they assembled around them ( which also takes lots of time).

To anyone curious how it sounds, I found this ABC segment about the sounds. Rather underwhelming, but cute. Sounds start like halfway in.

Every time I read this my heart breaks for the families. Of course the driver was in his seventies. Of course the police will never question if he took meds forbidding him to operate heavy machinery.

Edit: took it down. Did not see someone fast faster than I I

A two panel Comic.

First panel is set somewhere in the middle ages in south america. A child is sacrificed on an altar.

The people observing this say: why do we have to kill kids? - it's not a "killing", it's a "sacrifice". - if we didn't sacrifice kids the rain god will be mad… - … and the rain may stop falling… - … and our crops would stop growing … - …and we'll starve to death!

Second panel is modern day street scene, a dead child is lifted into an ambulance, a crushed tricycle left on the road.

The people observing this say: why do we have to kill kids? - it's not a "killing", it's a "car accident". - if we motorists had to drive slower, it would hurt car sales… - … and the economy would be upset… - … and we'll all lose our jobs… - …and we'll starve to death!

I did not see this banger of a comic on here, so have it, please
