He's right. Growth is not linear and he is gonna have bad games/bad stretches and people are gonna massively overreact.

He's one tier below, but still those guys don't tend to make it to the open market and are extremely hard to find. I would have been ecstatic if we got burns for 2 first rounders but I don't think that would have been a good trade for you guys.
All in all I think good WR play is much easier to find in free agency than good pass rush. So I think you're better off trading away Moore than you are Burns, even if it takes a few years to build an offense.
Why? Then we would be talking about how the Panthers have no pass rush and were stupid to trade away Burns.
Looking around the league it's amazing how quickly those other challanges tend to fade away if you find a great HC.
Offensive output and quality of QB play are not the same thing. Defenses also play a role in the equation. And specifically defenses adjusting to the schematic revolution of the past 5 years.
