This post is pure unfiltered 100% awesome! I find I’m frequently having anxiety attacks these days because of… , but reading this massive in-depth writeup, just letting me soak in a hobby I love but don’t have much time for as I’d like, has relaxed me more than anything has in months. Thank you so much! 🙏 I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for these in the future!

Saw “Bridge City" and then read your description of them and thought, “I’m willing to bet they’re from Portland.” Checked out their web page and yup, of course they are! Dammit, I love Portland!

Same! Even though I'm not excited about this timeframe in the Trek universe, I just became exponentially more excited knowing she's involved.

It reminded me, very randomly, of quote from a book about urban design and how architectural ideas are introduced and accepted by the public… or not.

From this the "principle of the second man" can be formulated: it is the second man who determines whether the creation of the first man will be carried forward or destroyed...

It was a golden chance and a room full of cowards let it slip.

The book is Design of Cities by Edmund Bacon for anyone interested.

Trigger discipline is perfect if she’s about to take the kill shot. 😎

That’s what bothered me the most. Like okay, in the moment you gotta make a shitty call, I get it. But then never going back to make it right? What the hell is that? That could made a great ep in itself, where you have to deal with the price you paid in order to win.

But nothing, not even a throwaway line. Ugh.

How do I delete someone else’s post?

I just spun up Wallabag on my server the other day to replace Omnivore. Im going to take a look at this, but does anyone have experience or thoughts on how this compares? I’m not so deep into it yet that I couldn’t switch to Linkwarden if it’s better.

My main uses would be archiving articles and highlighting passages.

Right? A Real Genius quote in the wild just made my day!

Yeah I’m glad it’s not a vital part of the experience but don’t mind that it’s there for people who like it. Kind of like card games in real life. :)

I do not understand this at all… but I respect it.
