The outermost spot is easier to reach with the thumbs. The most used elements of the controller are face buttons and the left stick. Having the left stick in the "secondary" position makes no sense.

Exactly. Sony insists on having symmetrical sticks, even though Xbox figured out asymmetric was better back in 2001. Every third party controller has asymmetric switches. Even Nintendo Pro controllers do. Why did Valve choose the objectively worse solution?

It's insane. Seemingly everyone but Sony figured out decades ago it's a terrible idea, and Valve does it anyway.

At least it has concave sticks, which weren't on PlayStation until 2013.

It's called Murphy's Law. The best way to get an answer is not to ask the question but to say the wrong answer.

Agreed. RAID is useless. Your drives will never fail before you'd want to replace them with larger ones anyway.

FYI: unless you have a very specific model of CD drive, your PS1 backups aren't perfect copies. They will work but the copy protection might not have been read properly. It's not important in 99.9% of use cases. If you need a perfect copy, download NoIntro dumps.

Automattic bought Tumblr after the porn ban.

Because Pokémon fell down hard after Gen 5, and has a lot of unrealized potential. It could be great if Nintendo actually cared about delivering a good product.

inb4 "akchually Pokémon games are developed by Game Freaks"

Nintendo has the power to tell them to fuck off if their games continue being worse and worse every year, but don't.

Right? Kick literally had a mentally ill man die on stream and tried to erase their tracks to avoid responsibility.

I want to try out Fallout New Vegas after having watched the TV show, and beforeiplay.com recommends I use a few QoL mods, in particular one for higher resolution screens (I'm playing on a 4K monitor).

So I lookup "fallout mtui", end up on the mod's page, hit download... and am greeted with a screen telling me I need to sign up for an account.

I obviously do not want to create an account on such a shady website, so I tried using a throwaway email... rejected (of course). I then said "fuck it" and tried registering with my real email address... also rejected. "E-mail address is not valid". Well, it is, this is my primary e-mail address, has been for more than 10 years, and I've successfully used it to register on dozens of websites, including Amazon, eBay, various banks, Steam...

I found several Reddit posts about this issues, dating back to several years to a few months. Apparently, registration on Nexus Mods has been broken for very long, with no fix on the horizon.

So it seems it is impossible to download anything from there. Is there a mirror somewhere? Or are all these mods no longer possible to access?
