I think of the 2002 Bucs (in a good way.) They were a smallish defense that relied on speed and smarts to beat opposing offenses, and they were great at it. But if the Raiders had chosen to run the ball down their throats in the Super Bowl (instead of Gannon passing it all over the place,) they'd have been steamrolled.

Yeah, if Bland gets even one more pick-six, I think that record will never be broken. I can't fathom another NFL player getting 7 pick-sixes in one season to top it.

I'd pay a lot of money to see just what sort of visions Rodgers was seeing during his ayahuasca trips that made him become like this

Williams was a first-round pick and was an All-Pro offensive tackle in his rookie season in 1994, but was suspended after testing positive for drugs. He never played in the NFL again, but the Eagles never released him, either - until yesterday.

The article goes on to note that Williams is now eligible to be claimed by any other NFL team.

I'm sure some statistician Redditors here could confirm/refute whether Williams is, technically, the longest-tenured player in Eagles history - and indeed in all of NFL history.

I think one reason is the lack of elite QB play. Elite QBs are what make the league watch-able.

Brady, Brees, Peyton Manning, etc. retired. Now all we have are Mahomes as the sole top-tier guy, Hurts, Burrow and Allen at the 2nd tier, and.........well, a dearth of QB talent below.

If I recall correctly, the 2001 Rams were favored by 14 points against the Patriots.

.....and the Patriots won.

My unpopular take is that there is no such thing as referees throwing too many flags in a game, as long as each penalty is warranted.

Many fans say "there are too many flags!".......as if offensive linemen should be ALLOWED to get away with holding.
