I confirmed an X-Ray tech was on the way to the Newborn ICU, for the glory of the empire!

That's not really got much to do with the article. Its about the changing landscape of the media industry.

Like you, I keep a library of media. But I always try to source Blu-ray rips for max quality. If Blu-rays go away, so does that top quality option, which would make me sad.

Sitcoms are more or less entirely filler. That's kind of the point

Sites like my banks, and local movie theaters, and self hosted VTT games.
I've had issues with all. Not acceptable

In that specific regard, probably.
I use Fennec. I've found the more security minded versions, tend to have problems with some site or another, and annoy me.

If I remember, that setting is extremely aggressive, and breaks lots of sites. Firefox has by default, a more complicated and nuanced feature that works practically as well, without breaking everything.

If the machine won't power up at all, it's almost certainly something in the power system.

Since it works in a USB dock, the drive itself is probably fine. I'd check different spots on the SATA power cable, or a different cable altogether. Different spots to plug in the cable on the PSU.

I'd bet it's a bad SATA power cable.

That sounds good.
I'm not saying that they shouldn't be able to interoperate at all. Just that this kind of thing isn't, and never will be ideal. I'm pushing back on the idea, that one account for all the Fediverse is the best and greatest, that everyone should be striving for that goal.

It's a principal of reality. Trying to make something that can do everything, will mean it's not great at anything. Specialization is what allows society to grow to what it is. The Fediverse is no different.

That's entirely dependent on the interface switching, or some kind of universal interface. That's the part I have serous doubts about. Keep in mind you have to make a single interface that work better than all the others on their respective native systems. I'm not sure that's possible.

That would be cool. Might be useful. Not sure it's really possible.
