Yeah but that was partially Newton’s fault if you remember. When Newton said “hit me” or whatever talking about when he was running down field, I didn’t mind the refs letting defenses tee off on him a bit when he was a rusher. When they let defenses tee off on him in the pocket, I thought that was too much. But also…. Don’t say in an interview, essentially, “come hit me bitch” haha

The cam Newton effect. He’s so damn big that you can’t bitch tackle him like a lot of other qbs. You gotta hit him. Refs need to figure out a way to balance that out
