Its 25MB for gmail. But if you are sending a lot of images, just link a Google drive, dropbox, or other cloud.

You are specifically looking at big heavy lenses. Auto focus also adds weight and size, especially as the elements get larger.

I have 3 Voigtlander lenses for Fuji that are the smallest SLC lenses I have seen and they are quite new.

Probably not even that long of an exposure as the train would be moving quickly. The other train is keeping pace.

Or they just masked and did this in post.

What camera?

Focus peaking, a focus screen, punch in on focus, all of these things can make it dramatically easier.

But you still need to practice. After a while it becomes muscle memory to hit distances an you refine by eye. Zone focusing is also a thing.

The mount? The mount is strong, its just metal. Its hard to screw up putting a lens on.

Never. I dont own any AF lenses.

If I was doing events or sports, then sure, but the kind of photography I do I find AF to take part of the joy away. Love a good all manual lens.
