Just a friendly reminder of who the East runs through, and who the East favorites should be. All other current FMVPs (Lebron, Curry, KD, Jokic, Kawhi) are in the West. The Celtics and Heat have made it to the finals but neither Tatum nor Butler have won anything.

He needed to remind everyone who the best player in the league is. The one game hes asked to carry instead of being passive he goes ahead and drops 54 like its nothing, and on absurd efficiency. Not bad for someone who is "easy to shut down" on offense.

And the only game that they won was against the pistons, and by only one point. They have looked very mediocre thus far and seem to be showing that last year’s final run was indeed a fluke (no disrespect intended). Why is noone talking about this?

Hakeem won two rings in the weakest era of basketball (90s without Jordan) and would likely be ringless if Jordan never retired.

Plus he won a ring as a 6 seed (which people see as a good thing for some reason) making his championship team one of the worst in history (again, in the weakest era of basketball).

Factoring in both offense and defense, the only player with a better argument is hakeem.

While they are equally as impactful on defense, i think giannis is a better offensive player due to his playmaking ability which hakeem lacks. What do you think?

Not to say that he isn’t a great playmaker, but just because he averages 10 assists and makes some unnecessarily fancy passes from time to time does not at all justify him as having one of the highest offensive peaks ever.

10apg is good but nothing crazy especially when he’s the primary playmaker of the team to begin with. There are plenty of PGs in the league who can do that.

He also averaged 4 turnovers per game last season which is pretty sloppy but everyone seems to ignore this.
