Not really. The argument is not that everything should be free. I think, I was trying to make a point that Infuse is a third party application that is not free to use (unlike jellyfin).

Infuse is not free. I love it and use it on my Apple Devices, but just wanted to have this as an FYI.

The only llama I care about is this Machu Pichu Llama.

I love thinkpad L480. Also, if you get a good deal then try getting Macbook 2017 Intel version. You could install Linux on that and it's quite light weight.

I agree for the drinks. But I can't cook fries like my local burger place does. And it's cheap, like half a dollar (USD equivalent of my home currency) for 1 box of fries.

It has always been right beside the printer. Have you never noticed it so far?

Weird, I print PDFs from CD on my phone daily.

Nope. I watch movies /TV Shows with focus. If I need to do something (example attend a phone call), I will pause the movie.

I can't do parallel work while watching.

I never needed transcoding. So jellyfin ran on my Raspi4 for a couple of years. Never faced any issues to be honest. Major issue was hard disk getting disconnected, but then again I had faulty SATA to USB connectors.

Hi, In early 2000 , my dad, my brothers and I used to play the shit out of this game called Chicken Invaders.

It's basically shooting chickens invading the universe or something.

We only had 1 PC at home and we used to play in turns.

I stumbled upon it somehow yesterday and couldn't stop playing.

May be it's just nostalgic value, but it was fun!

Sharing a link to the official game (it's free) Website: https://www.interactionstudios.com/chickeninvaders.php

Hope someone else reconnects with their childhood, like I did .

Cheers!

Hello Lemmings, Hope you guys are doing well.

Objective: Open the door automatically through HomeAssistant

My Plan:

  1. Use an ESP32 and flash ESPhome. Wire up Servo Motor (SG90) with ESP32. Tie a thread on between the Servo Motor Arm and the physical latch (physical latch that I can pull to unlock the door) such that when the servo motor turns from -100 to +100, the latch is being pulled to cause the door to be unlocked.

  2. I am planning to power this using AA Cells + DC DC Boost convertor.

Issue:

  1. How do I mount the Servo Motor on the door?
  2. Is there any other (read better) way to achieve the same result?
  3. Would you recommend any power source other than AA Cells?

Image for reference:

The latch has a keychain-like loop where the thread is tied. To unlock the door manually, I pull the latch towards right (---->) . This action is planned to be automated by Servo Motor.

Hi guys, A very happy new year!!

After celebrating New year's Eve, I just logged in on PS5 to play Detroit become human.

The robot on the home screen wished me and my family a very happy new year!

This was so sweet. I feel so warm and love the game even more now!

Hi, There are so many Spider Man games, I am not sure which ones to play?

I am downloading Miles Morales for now. This is like a 7 to 8 hours game as per Howlongtobeat.

Any other spider man game could you recommend to take up after this one?

Hi, Just wanted to highlight an issue I faced. If it's worth the time to resolve this edge case, please consider the issue in your queue.

Normally, clicking on the post brings up a bar that shows upvote, downvote and reply button.

This does not happen if the comment ends with an image.

Hi, I am automating my manual switches at home with ESPHome on NodeMCU. For controlling the switches, I am using 8 channel relay module.

The back of the board has solder-points sticking out. I will be installing this relay module inside the switchboard. So I want to put it in some kind of enclosure.

Just wanted to know your thoughts on enclosure. Should I just wrap the whole thing in electrical tape? Or a plastic box maybe?

Hi everyone, I host a server with few services running for my family and friends. The server freezes sometimes. Where the services stop responding. If I try to ssh into the server, it takes a lot of time (3 to 5 mins) for it to connect. After being connected, every letter I type takes 2 to 3 mins to appear on screen.

Seems like the server is overloaded with tasks. But I am not sure what load it is running. I have netdata installed. I could pull up following screenshots for insights.

Can someone please help me in troubleshooting the issue?

I have tried testing stress testing my RAM and CPU, and they were fine. But I would start troubleshooting from scratch if you have recommendations for testings softwares.

Please also let me know if there is anything I can pull from netdata to help in trouble shooting.

System Specification:

System RAM

Disk I/O

Total CPU Utilization

Idle Jitter

I am hosting few services for my friends and family on my server. Due to devices limitations, I can't install VPN on TVs etc. Is it possible to restrict the access to only those users that have a certificate issued by me?
