For some reason, this gives me echoes of the labor union protests, but I can’t figure out why business owners would be so against protests in support of human rights for Palestinians.

RBG obviously stands for Red Blue Green. They want to bring back CRT monitors. And TV censors.
The problem with that is that everyone owns plenty of weapons.
Firearms make more sense stored at a range or hunting club, unless you live somewhere where you actually need one handy (for defense against large cats/bears for example), but pretty much everyone owns knives, rope, wire, ammonia and bleach, etc. and many own fertilizer, cars, chainsaws, and the like.
There’s absolutely no reason to store even a semiautomatic firearm at a place of residence though unless you’re rich enough to have your own security service and dedicated secure building in which to house the things. And handguns have always seemed pretty pointless to me (I’m sure someone must have a legitimate use for them that doesn’t involve aiming at people or use in a firing range, but I don’t).
But if it results in the riding going R, those felonies may be pardoned.
I had this experience once in an Ikea, of all places. I calmly told the clerk that according to local laws (which I cited), it was illegal for them to demand that information from me (phone number and post code) to sell me anything, and if the computer wouldn’t let them do it, then they should call a manager for an override.
When the manager came, the clerk said “this person refuses to give me their info” — to which I added, “your computer refuses to comply with the law; please override and then notify HQ that they are in contravention of the law and liable for significant fines.”
The next time I went in, they still asked me for the info, but the clerk was able to override. I suspect they just put in fake info for everyone who refused to supply it.
They were both friends of Epstein weren’t they?
The difference between the two is really their wives. Nancy was the real power behind the presidency.
I do wish they’d stop citing weapons caches when making arrests. Just as many shootings are done by people with access to a single firearm as are done by people with over a hundred weapons.
If there were crated assault rifles, that would be worth making a deal about… but people are allowed to collect weapons in the US, and that doesn’t suddenly change anything when a suspect is arrested.
The problem is, if they rush things, they’ll be appealed AND thrown out. They have to go slow and careful so that when the results are appealed, there’s enough evidence proof of doing everything above-board and by the book that the appeal will be tossed as meritless.
People are clear that advocating for change should come after Trump is defeated at the polls.
In this election the choice is “would you like your eggs sunny side up or thrown in the dumpster?” Plenty of time after the results are in to say “actually, I prefer mine scrambled.”
He sure looks tired.
Generally, getting certifications/memberships gives you more options for honorifics, not fewer; you get to use any that are appropriate.
And for instance, if someone has a PhD and an MDiv, they can go by Reverend, Doctor, Reverend Doctor or Mx, and they’re all appropriate; it all depends on context and what you’re trying to communicate.
So Doctor Drag (he/him) is appropriate, as is Mx Drag, PhD.
