If the DT770s won't get loud enough on your goXLR mini, you would have to feed an amp with the headphone signal from this DAC. You could also just get the 80 Ohm DT770 to be on the safe side.

AKG K702. Didn't expect it to become my new go-to pair for p much everything but it pleasantly surprised me. (I still use speakers most of the time though and keep headphone usage at home to more atmospheric styles of music)
Gaming headphones are just a gimmick, there's nothing special about game audio that would require a special type of headphones. I would also recommend open backs for the best experience though.
