Thanks for sharing as I was going to microwave my Sennheiser HE-1 to lower the humidity in the earcups.

Here are the songs that stood out the most to me on the Sennheiser HD 800 S :

Beo Brockhausen - Wolkenmeer

Yosi Horikawa - Bubbles

Yosi Horikawa - Interlude

Talking Heads - The Great Curve (2005 Remaster)

Yello, Heidi Happy - Kiss In Blue

Terje Isungset, Lena Nymark - Fading Sun

Seven Lions, Kill The Noise - The Blood

Radiohead - Paranoid Android (Remastered)

The Fairfield Fou - These Bones

Share songs that are a true BLISS to hear on the Sennheiser HD 800 S.

Something that takes full advantage of the headphone's unique qualities.

Thanks!

They're good fore wireless but don't compete with their wired counterparts in the same price range.

Perfect, thanks for taking the time!

I purchased the following: Schiit Modius Schiit Valhalla

My understanding is that they come with their respective power cables that plug directly into the wall... Is that right?

Otherwise what would I need to connect them together and to my phone if those cables don't come included?

Finally, would the Sennheiser 800S be cable to plug into it with the included cable?

Thanks, I'm new to all of this so I'm trying to learn and make sure I have all the required gear!

I had a parking meter ask me for tips once

Thanks for the detailed reply!

As the titles states, is the Dragonfly Cobalt enough for the Sennheiser 800 S?

I'm afraid that maybe a seperate AMP and even a different DAC would be recommended?

Please enlighten me, thanks!

Hi,

I'm by no means an audio engineer but the biggest difference to me was the clarity. I feel like the 660S sound more clear if that makes sense? To be more specfic, Adele's voici in Hello feels so insanely clear on the 660S. The 800S sounds more "complete" than the 660S.

I'm speaking my mind right now so the text might sound chaotic but once again in different words, the 660s midrange is stellar but lacks bass and the top treble can seem a little off while the 800S feels better all around but inferior in the midrange.

Hi, I've currently owned the Sennheiser 660 S just shy of a year now.
With that being said, I told myself I would go for the Sennheiser 800 S.

Don't get me wrong, the 800 S sounds amazing but strangely enough it just made me appreciate my 660 S even more. I feel like the 660 S has better mids and more clarity. I was also underwhelmed by the soundstage. I think I might have had too big expectations for the sound stage where it would have felt more "speakerlike".

What do you guys think about this? Shouldn't I be preferring the 800 S. I'm kinda confused by all of this.

Thanks!
