just stop supporting american companies already; trump's already going to ruin the economy so if you stop supporting american businesses it'll crash faster. pirate that shit if you have to.

he was literally in the middle of being prosecuted... blame trump appointed judges for delaying.

it's just that democrats give republicans too much good faith and try to be the better people; both things can be true.

hello new england is right here :(

trump is also being sentenced in a few weeks so likely he'll just resign and we'll get couch fucker, which was probably the heritage foundations plan all along.

"reelecting" (i say this because it was NOT a legitimate election) trump was the equivalent of the rise of the third reich.

self driving cars should absolutely be banned from public roads.

virtucon alone is worth at least $20 decillion

just tell them it's in the mail, google.

the first good thing elon has done for humanity.

just watch starkid's trail to oregon on youtube its infinitely better

anyone know what google was thinking when they got rid of google now in favour of the discover feed because i honestly can't understand how you can have the best engineers in the world and make a decision like that

is anyone else having a problem where lemmy community shortlinks aren't parsing? like when i do !boostforlemmy@lemmy.world, it should link to a universal link to go to it no matter what server you're on. when i do it i can see it if i view the post on chrome but not in boost.

Which brings me to the feature request: it would be nice if the new post or comment page would auto complete this in a mention kind of format so you could do ! and then start typing a community and it would pop up suggestions and selecting one would automatically create the [!communityname@server.net](/c/communityname@server.net) code.

right now the emoji picker only has text emojis, which is nice, but it'd be great if it had graphical ones too, like on mastodon/misskey.

also my instance has custom emoji too and id love to be able to use them in boost too (it's hard to remember the code since it's a long image tag url).

i don't know if it's even possible to but if it is it'd be nice to have :)

I'm currently using an HP with Windows 11 and WSL but I'd love to switch to Linux, proper - at least just on my development machine. I'm standard LAMP, though I also would use Node and Rails, too.

I use AI and PS (though I'm familiar with Inkspot and Gimp, if WINE isn't perfect for them), Visual Studio Code/Codium, Git, and Chrome/Firefox.

What are some of the best places to look for machines that can work for this? I'd prefer Debian, though I'm fine with Ubuntu. I've looked at Dell but they seem limited with what is available.
