Yo guys, you know its entirely possible Poole to be an unserious player right now and for him still to not have deserved getting punched out cold by a teammate in training? Enough with the black and white thinking jesus.

I don't like Kevin Durant and yet I stand here bowing down to this absolute monster. Playing at this level after the injury he sustained at his age is absolutely worth everybody's respect.

Something interesting that I'm only noticing now.

Even dating back a couple years when Ronaldo was still at Real M, I remember thinking that some of his finishings of chances like this one were 'unimpressive'. What I mean by unimpressive is that shots looked a bit dull and while going in, they weren't really 'beautiful'.

What I realise now is that it is by design. Ronaldo understands that the most important part of converting this opportunity into a goal scoring threat is to:

  1. Get the shot on target
  2. Give it enough power without compromising accuracy

And to do these two things, you gotta sacrifice a bit of the element of turning it into a beautiful volley that lands under the bar. What you get in return is scoring nearly everyone of these chances.

This is probably quite obvious for a lot of fans, but I'm just figuring it out now and am happy to do it cuz it will change my approach to shooting in real football too. Thanks Ronnie, you shameless bastard.

There's so many players that honestly wouldn't surprise me if I see them having 60 on a given night. Nearly one in every team.

Trae Young, Tatum, Giannis, Embiid, Mitchell, Steph, Dame, Giannis, Booker, KD, Luka, Kyrie, Ja Morant could all get there.

Anyways, as a surprising pick I'd go to Jalen Green or Jalen Brunson.

That explains the arguments you're making. Have a good day then. 🙏

Led the playoffs in points, rebounds, assists

Most triple doubles ever in playoffs (correct me if wrong, not 100% sure on this one)

Only lost 4 games

Shot as efficiently as one can get on volume

Had a 50pt piece

Beat teams who had the top 3 defensive bigs in the league

Won without another all star on his team

Won on the back of 2 MVPs and and an mvp-worthy season

Beat all of these players - Anthony Edwards, KAT, Kevin Durant (2x finals mvp), Devin Booker (led a team to finals), LeBron James (😊), Anthony Davis, Jimmy Butler

I'm the biggest 'LeBron 2018's playoffs run is one of the greatest of all time' stan and granted the Cavs in that year didn't have anyone like Jamal Murray and a worse constructed roster than Nuggets this year (and no GS juggernaut), but if that run against the Pacers, Raps and baby Celtics is considered an all time one, then this one ending with a chip is up there guaranteed.

Now that's a take that is up for a nuanced and intelligent discussion!
