It's missing a field for multi-chat rooms.

the point of small talk is to open avenues of conversation

If you're married to someone, all avenues of conversation should be open the minute you've both said hi. If you need to talk about the weather before you decide what to get for dinner, with your spouse, then your marriage is a failure.

Try getting married to a dragon, they don't care about small talk

Probably more convenient to download the cracked version without the anticheat. That'll work on Linux.

The idea of "voting with your wallet" doesn't work in most cases, because your only options are to vote in favour, or not vote. Boycotts aren't votes against a product, because they don't hurt companies. They just refuse to help them.

Piracy isn't stealing, but since companies think it is, piracy is the third option we need - the no vote.

What if it uses a neural network to recommend posts?

That's why drag personally believes all RPGs with character customisation should have gender selection unless there's a very good reason why not. The one good exception drag has seen is Pentiment - in that game you're a mediaeval writer who hangs out with the monks at the Abbey. That story can't be authentic with a woman player character. But that's a very rare situation. Even games with named main characters can have gender select. Look at Prey and Mass Effect. It's an accessibility feature.

Drag was banned from a community on lemmy.blahaj.zone, and then unbanned. The unban is clearly visible on the lemmy.blahaj.zone modlog and its local ID is 27459. However, the unban has not federated over to lemmy.nz. Drag has tried calling get_modlog, but that doesn't appear to trigger a federation request, so lemmy.nz can't see the modlog entry. Drag tried to use resolve_object, but couldn't figure out the query syntax from reading the API documentation or the Lemmy source code. And the source code seemed to suggest resolve_object only works on users and communities anyway.

Right now, drag can't post to the community because lemmy.nz won't let drag, even though blahaj.zone would be happy to accept the post. Drag wants lemmy.nz to see the modlog object and recognise the unban.

Dutch actor and climate activist Sieger Sloot took to social media, as he typically does, to encourage people to join a protest planned in The Hague in January.

But what Sloot thought was an innocent attempt to organise a non-violent demonstration to demand action to tackle the burgeoning climate emergency led to an eight-month ordeal resulting in a sedition conviction.

Ants release chemicals when they die that attract other ants, to fight off the threat. This is annoying, because squishing an ant that bit you is likely to attract more bitey ants.

Do ants have a chemical signal for "all ye who enter here, either turn back or abandon all hope"? Can you teach a hive to fear a certain place? Or do they just keep coming forever?
