As long as you keep your camera on your person, theft will not be a concern. This is one of the safest big cities in America and one of the biggest tourist destinations in the world. You’ll be surrounded by thousands of other people with all kinds of cameras, especially in Manhattan.

The real safety concern (that visitors sometimes overlook) is moving vehicles and people. Please try to be aware of pedestrians in a rush, bikes, delivery e-bikes, and cars whenever you’re shooting.
