Cars are equally loud and even more pollution, we should never have to endure more than 60db. https://www.berlin.de/umweltatlas/en/traffic-noise/noise-pollution/1993/map-description/ If we build more elevated trains, the needs for Cars is reduced and we could move the train to the ground where right now a lot of Streets/Stroads are.
