That's a fundamental misunderstanding of scientific/mathematical language used in statistical studies.
I work with government agencies from multiple countries (n/a and EU) and their requirements are not as good as you're selling.
These are good things, for sure, but for me they are separate from why I'm here. The niche discussions that I crave are just not here. We're simply not large enough to have anything but the most popular subjects get any traction. So we have memes, politics, and programming/linux discussions. Worse off, you have to dodge the hexbear and lemmigrad dipshits. So the overall experience is still suffering due to the size.
Toronto desperately needs this.

I'll tell them to their face. That isn't rich. I'm not arguing the money doesn't make a difference, I'm arguing that isn't rich. Terminology matters, and someone making 50k is in the same classification as someone making 150k from the perspective of the actually rich. Being rich means having wealth.
I contend it's not that it's less of a priority but rather we're (as a society) getting better at collecting evidence, identifying un aceptable behaviour, and taking people seriously when they present an accusation. I firmly believe humans have done and do worse all the time.
