Before we even get close to have this discussion, we would need to have an AI capable of experiencing things and developing an individual identity. And this goes completely opposite of the goals of corporations that develop AIs because they want something that can be mass deployed, centralised, and as predictable as possible - i.e. not individual agents capable of experience.

If we ever have a truly sentient AI it's not going to be designed by Google, OpenAI, or Deepmind.

If you think what Trump says about Greenland is bad, you should hear what Russia keeps saying about the baltics and Poland.

Russia is not being particularly secretive in their plans for a war with the EU.

It depends on what kind of weird shit you're into.

Well, for that their only solution is to use their Central America regime change guidebook closer to home, and hope everyone forgets the US's propensity to elect imperialist assholes.

Given they don't actually need farms to produce wine, the federation might see Chateau Picard as personal (as opposed to private) property that supports Jean Luc's little hobby and preservation of traditional knowledge.

If you have a self-consistent human rights framework all rights support and in some way encompass all other rights.

I love how the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union frames if, by starting with with "Human dignity is inviolable. It must be respected and protected" as the foundation that is so fundamental it's just recognised and not "given".

Who said anything about Christianity? Eggs and rabbits are symbols of fertility, and [insert your favourite fertility goddess] will be worshipped.

Probably the only newspaper in the world that didn't have this article already written down and refined over the last few years.

What else would they be trying to preserve? Notice they never tried to preserve strong unions, or high taxes for the rich.

Moving around in "peaceful" should be ok as a playground for learning the controls.
