Yeah open source monetization sucks in the corporate world. Maybe there could be a license that goes something along the lines of "you may use this for free as long as your company's yearly revenue isn't over X €"

Aren't there any petitions or pressure campaigns against google's overreach?

This is just an app lock improvement. Google does plenty of overreach, but this is not it.

At some point I plan to implement (yearly) subscriptions in my app and I'd like to use an European alternative to Stripe.

Having an Elixir SDK would be nice, though it's fine if there isn't one.
