I can’t browse the announcement page without thinking of Borat

It just pisses me off that they have all the money in the world for their datacenters but not for the systems that power it

I don’t trust Schumer and the Dems on any of this so if they want to build trust they need to speak out now and start by calling for Schumer to step down.

I would have said no chance a year ago but with Nightreign this year they do seem to be willing to experiment a little bit. A dream of a vibrant Souls from Fromsoft can live a little longer.

In the end it is about messaging. Always was but now more than ever with social media most people are voting on vibes. In New York they used it masterfully, laser focused on simple economic messaging without getting lost in the weeds. Kamala did the opposite, confused voters with wishy-washy messaging. People wanted change and she offered more Biden, if she had any kind of coherent message.

I am having trouble seeing how OpenAI survives without investment cash. What exactly is their moat? I know they are hoping to power the AI behind everyone else’s tech but that is more and more untenable as the others develop AI models of their own.

I’ll be shocked if any of them can harness MAGA, they are all uncharismatic unlikable twerps

That and the risktaking bit give the headline two rofl’s

I don’t think people understand the amount of coercion inherent in any religion, even the more mundane ones, unless they were in it and got out. I grew up in a liberal brand of Lutheranism I like to refer to as beer-drinking Christianity because it’s so harmless seeming. And yet looking back it was rife with the kinds of things experts would absolutely label brainwashing tactics. Of course under the guise of fun activities like church camps and such but that makes it all the more dangerous.

It used to be the same but them W. Bush extended summer time on both ends to really make things confusing

I say this all the time but it bears repeating- the GOP knows the filibuster is good for them or they would have removed it long ago. The Dems get plausible deniability for never doing anything so they will never remove it.

Absolute dream if he accomplishes this, two of my favorite all time games.

I'm always wishing there was more interaction and discussion on the niche Lemmy groups. Today I got to wondering if there were some games we could focus on to help foster our small community. But what is everyone playing or interested in playing? Are we all off playing our own obscure indie favorites or are there some games we share?

Sort of in the way that the Mazda Miata is well known in the right circles for being such an affordable blast to drive, are there models of electric cars that are universally lauded? I'm specifically asking for what's fun to drive like the Miata but am curious abuout fun to own as well as best all rounder.

I don't have a commute so it would 100% be for outings and fun drives.

Some of the leaves on my plant are getting these dry tips with sort of yellowish spots. What causes this?

Bernie is 100% right now, we can't count on the Dems in DC. The working class is going to have to fight this one.

It'll require a lengthy grassroots effort from the working class any its allies. At the moment, anything you can think to do is the right thing to do until a proper movement coalesces. Get out and try things. And bring your friends along for the effort. That's how movements like this get going.
